accumulations of 7 to 14 inches above 7000 feet, with 1 to 4
inches possible down to 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50
mph.

* WHERE...Areas above 7000 feet near Alpine, Forest Lakes, Heber-
Overgaard, Pinetop-Lakeside, Show Low and Whiteriver.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 11 PM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Showers are expected to initially start out
as rain this afternoon, then transition over to snow this
evening. A period of moderate to heavy snow is then expected
late tonight into the early afternoon.
